Consistently I read it is well-loved and there are lots of postings about it being helpful. The title remains unclear (Tapestry, the Weaver, The Weaver's Hand etc.) and there are a few claims about its origin--mostly author unknown/anonymous. This poem is attributed to Benjamin(e) Malachi Franklin (1882-1965) on several sites. Most spellings of his name are the regular Benjamin without an "e". On one website is a photo of his gravestone in Mississippi, USA and basic lineage. Under the poem entitled "My Life is But a Weaving" it says: "Benjamin Malachi Franklin 1882-1965
wrote the poem in the late forties. It was first published in 'The
Memphis Commercial Appeal' newspaper in 1950, per his grandson Bob
Corley." I read elsewhere that the same grandson, Bob Corley has published this poem in a book that has a Library of Congress number; he says that the poem had only 4 verses. Corrie Ten Boom often quoted this poem and it appeared in one of her books (The Hidden Place)--I believe with the additional verse added as well.

Re: Idries Shah: Fulfilling Your Responsibilities

nicely put.. considering the spiritual buffet appetites of some bratty seekers.

Re: Video: J. And to see this in the context of a talk with children. This statement is one that I use as a kind of ultimate test of my own integrity, and I intend to discover for myself how to live with that level of freedom from the apparent, yet illusory safety zone of 'the known'. Thank you for the posting.
